400 Plus Students receive School Supplies and Scholarships as Hon Lindsay Grant Hosts Hugely Successful Back to School Fair and Fun-Day

Minister of Tourism Hon. Lindsay Grant over the past weekend hosted his annual Constituency#4 back to school Fair and Fun-Day on at the Halfway Tree Playfield .
Hundreds turned out to the event all of whom enjoyed refreshments and playing games.
Almost 500 students from Challengers to New Guinea and from Primary school to CFBC all received school supplies and over $3000 in scholarships.
“It was a fun filled day. We entertained about 400 plus children and gave them books, pens, pencils, rubbers and much more. We gave out $3000 in scholarships to 6 deserving students from the Verchilds High, Tyrell Williams and Bronte Welsh primary,” said Hon. Lindsay Grant
Hon. Grant continued “I would like to personally thank all those who contributed in cash or kind and who made the day possible and memorable.”
In the lead up to the event Hon Grant commented “This is an event I look forward to hosting every year. I’ve been doing it for the last 17 years and every year I am motivated and inspired to continue the event as I see, feel and appreciate what a difference the event makes to the lives of the school children and their families and by extension all the communities of the constituency #4 which I am proud to represent.”
Hon. Lindsay Grant has hosted the event for the past 17 Years and has given away tens of thousands of dollars in school supplies and scholarships to hundreds of children throughout Constiuency#4 and neighbouring communities.
