Popular Bloger Calls for Immediate Apology
The Opening of the Sugar Mas 45 Festival Village was marred early this morning when an exciting and energetic two hour performance by the hugely popular Nu-Vybes Band Int’l aka Sugar Band was abruptly halted when a fight broke out on stage. A stunned crowd of thousands looked on in amazement and disgust as two of the Nation’s top artistes, Music Icon and Lead Singer of the Nu-Vybes Gregory “Mr. Mention” Hobson and Musician, Producer and Performer Akaii Hughes , duked it out in an all out WWE Style brawl .
It is unclear what started the fracas. However some are suggesting there may have been some existing bad blood between the two performers .
Popular Social Media Blogger Everton “Obi” Elliott has led a clarion call for both performers to apologise for the very unfortunate incident which has come at a time when security forces have been grappling with an unrelenting ten year old crime problem.
“I don’t know what they were fighting about but whatever it was, the fight was beyond embarrassing especially at a time when SKN is racked with violence and murders. As such I am calling on both men who are seen and looked up to as role models in SKN especially by many young people to make a public apology to the country on radio and facebook. Let the people know you all are not here to promote violence rather instead to uplift the people through your music. Do it for the good of the country and music,” said the Popular Blogger Elliott.
We at SKNTimes/Times Caribbean support this call by Everton Elliott for both artistes to aplogise for the incident.
