ST.LUCIA: Crusita Descartes-Pelius appointed as First ever Female Commissioner of Police (COP) (Ag.)
Veteran police officer of more than three decades, Mrs. Crusita Descartes-Pelius, will lead the High Command of the Royal Saint Lucia Police as the new Commissioner of Police (Acting).
Commissioner Descartes-Pelius’ historic appointment was officially announced on October 17, 2022 by Prime Minister and Minister for National Security Hon. Philip J. Pierre.
Mrs. Descartes-Pelius is the first female police officer to Act as Police Commissioner.
