St. Kitts National Eugene Leader Honored as Longtime USPS Postal Hero

Long Island, NY – February 5th , 2025– St. Kitts native Eugene Leader, a proud postal carrier and U.S. Army veteran, has been honored by the United States Postal Service (USPS) for his unwavering dedication to delivering mail—no matter the weather.
Leader, a longtime letter carrier in Manhasset, New York, was recently recognized as part of the USPS’s “Long-Haul Campaign,” which celebrates postal workers who have become vital to their communities. Having served with the USPS since 1990, Leader has faithfully delivered mail to the same 205 delivery points since 2007.
Before joining the USPS, Leader served in the U.S. Army, embodying a lifetime of service both in uniform and in civilian life. Known for his reliability and commitment, his work as a postal carrier has made him a well-respected figure in the Manhasset community.
