Sandy Point PRIDE registers undefeated (14-0) regular season in SKNABA “A” Division

SANDY POINT, St. Kitts (5th July, 2016): Longevity and the ability to maintain excellence always have separated legendary teams from one-hit wonders. These are the words coming from the PRIDE camp following a complete annihilation of the POLSTARS en route to completing a 14-0 regular season sweep in just its first year as a member of SKABA (St. Kitts Amateur Basketball League).

“We are incredibly proud of our players on doing what few teams have ever done, in running the table and winning 14 consecutive games!” Said Randy Desuza- Team Manager

Despite receiving notification from the league of a can only be described as a questionable multi game suspension of it’s starting backcourt and center with less than 24 hours before it’s next scheduled game, the young lions from Sandy Point were able to gather themselves and complete phase one of it’s mission, an undefeated regular season.

“It is unfortunate that the Games Committee handed down a bevy of suspensions and fines against the two SP clubs in a manner that lacks transparency. Especially when one considers the various points of conflict as it pertains to the league’s executive and the circumstances surrounding their decision!” Continued Desuza

Team co-captain Sheeno ‘Jeezy’ Liddie led all scorers with 19 pts 12 rebounds 4 assists 2 blocks and received invaluable contributions from Secada ‘Shuggy’ Garroden (13 pts 17 rebounds), Stephen ‘Basso’ Richards (10 pts 6 rebounds 3 steals) Miguel ‘Sought Out’ Brown (10 pts 9 assists 3 steals 3 blocks) and Dejaan ‘SoulJah’ Grant (8 pts 12 rebounds)

With the regular season now over and the number one seed secured, the club now focuses on attaining it’s ultimate goal-phase two of it’s mission, winning the 2016 ‘A’ Division Championship!
