Basseterre; St. Kitts:FASHIONISTAS are getting ready to strut on the red carpet this Saturday, (Feb. 24) when the Gurus Maniacs and Sages (GMS) Multimedia presents ‘Rockaway R.E.D. Paparazzi’ at the Royal St. Kitts Hotel (formerly Jack Tar) at 8:00 p.m.

This is the seventh event of its kind and the beautiful Royal St. Kitts Hotelwill see a beautiful transformation to welcome the fashionistas and showstoppers.

Not only would patrons show off their style and outfits at the Step and Repeat section on the red carpet, where their photographs will be captured by professional photographers but there will also be a Live Red Carpet interview where persons will be asked mainly, “Who are you wearing”.

As Rockaway R.E.D aims to raise the bar when it comes to entertainment and event experiences, they will be mirroring the prestige and aesthetics of a Hollywood Blockbuster premiere red carpet arrival.

“It will be all about the ‘who’s who’, who are you wearing feel, and also we just can’t wait to see our Rockers, Rockettes and Rookies, donning their interpretation of Rockaway RED Paparazzi. We are setting the stage for our patrons who love dressing up to do so at a spectacular setting,” a team member said.

The entertainment for the night will also be of a high caliber, featuring the promising young and talented VJ Shabz, DJ Wett Dutt who is no stranger to Rockaway events and one of the federation’s top cover bands Royalties Band which will feature Mick Stokes and EK.

The economic value of the event has grown significantly where local designers, seamstresses and makeup artistes are being sourced months ahead of time to reserves spots for patrons.

“The glamour and sophistication of the red carpet is almost irresistible. A red carpet event like no other featuring our local celebrities, sports heroes and fashion models. It will be a night to remember.”

GMS selected none other than former Top Model Joy Wilson to be featured on the event poster depicting the composition of this year’s event.

“Joy (Wilson) was a natural choice for us this year. It’s actually been a while in the making and we were glad that the stars aligned and she accepted. Joy has been a bonafide patron for years and is always the first person to purchase her ticket at our annual ticket drive,” said Senior Partner of GMS Multimedia, Dr. Garfield Alexander. “We think she exemplifies what a true Rockette is: beautiful, trendy, young professional woman who balances her serious endeavors with her fun activities.”
