Timothy Harris, is positioning itself to return to the halls of government where it will right the wrongs of the inexperienced Drew-led administration, and return the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis back to the path of economic growth and prosperity.“While the current situation in our country is gloomy, we can keep hope alive,” said Dr. Harris during the party’s monthly press conference on May 30th. “Our PLP has a people centric focus. We have grown so rapidly in national standing because we are a party for all the people. Indeed, a prosperous St. Kitts and Nevis, will come when all our people are endeavoring and achieving,” he added. Staying true to the mantra “We Welcome All”, Dr. Harris said a Peoples Labour Party government will embrace all in the task of nation building. He stated, “We do welcome all to help us improve the lives of the people of St. Kitts and Nevis. Where there are vulnerable and indigent people, we will design social safety nets to ensure that none shall be left behind. We will pursue the agenda of prosperity for all.”Like most in the country, Dr. Harris took note of the dire situation of our healthcare system, the neglect to the farming and fishing community, the upward trend of violent crimes, rampant victimization, a crumbling education system and a worsening economy, while the government ministers continue to live lavishly at a high cost to taxpayers. “For all their empty talk, the Drew administration has not delivered a better quality of life for our people. It is time to take back our country. PLP is ready to work with all our people regardless of their party affiliation to rebuild our country and to put a record high number of people back to work again,” pledged Dr. Harris, the third Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis.Dr. Harris used the occasion of the press conference to express and extend gratitude to all the patriotic persons who have stepped forward to assist in the buildout of a bigger, better and stronger Peoples Labour Party. He said, “We appreciate all persons who have volunteered their services to keep the Peoples Labour Party (PLP) focused on its mission to unite all persons irrespective of class, creed, gender or political affiliation to advance the growth and development of Saint Kitts and Nevis.”The momentum behind the Peoples Labour Party will further increase as the party gears up for the staging of its annual National Convention and Caucus on June 13th and 15th, at which point party leader Dr. Hon. Timothy Harris is expected to outline the direction and vision of the fastest growing political party.END
