Port Zante, St.Kitts (April 9th, 2024):-Nevisian native Harry Yearwood achieved a significant milestone as he docked the cruise ship Jewel of the Seas at Port Zante, St. Kitts. As the Chief Officer for the Royal Caribbean Group and third in command of the vessel, Yearwood successfully maneuvered the 297-meter-long ship, accommodating approximately 3,500 passengers.

Reflecting on his journey to this moment, Yearwood shared insights into his upbringing and sailing career. Growing up in Nevis, his affinity for boats and the sea was nurtured from a young age. Following his education, he pursued formal training in sailing, eventually obtaining a commercial license to work on ships.

With over 13 years of experience in the industry, Yearwood has sailed worldwide, gaining valuable expertise along the way. His dedication and determination have propelled him through the ranks, culminating in his current role as Chief Officer.

Yearwood’s accomplishment marks a proud moment for himself and his community, showcasing the potential for individuals from small island nations to excel on the global stage.
