St.Kitts-Nevis Prime Minister Harris welcomed at the High Commission in London
After another event-filled third day in London which included addressing an International Citizenship and Global Residence Conference, and paying another visit to the UK House of Lords, where he held meeting with Lord Robertson – former UK Defence Secretary and former Secretary General of NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organisation); the Honourable Dr Timothy Sylvester Harris attended a Reception in his honour at the St. Kitts Nevis High Commission in Kensington Court, London.
In his introduction of the Prime Minister, High Commissioner Isaac praised the academic and professional credentials of the Prime Minister. He highlighted the fact that Dr Harris comes to the high office of Prime Minister after nearly two decades of public service and having held several ministerial portfolios during that time.
The Welcome Reception was organised by the High Commission to welcome the new Prime Minister to London and to introduce him to the many old and new friends of St. Kitts Nevis. It was attended by a diverse group comprising businesspeople, developers, investors, diplomats, academics, nationals and wellwishers.
In addressing the gathering, Prime Minister Harris spoke briefly of the journey to progress and prosperity ahead and of what inpired his Government’s coalition partners to come together to work for the benefit of all the people of St. Kitts and Nevis.
The Prime Minister said his entire team was humbled by the trust and confidence of the people of St. Kitts Nevis but that it was indeed prepared for the tasks and opportunity to build a more equitable and prosperous nation for all to enjoy.
The Prime Minister was joined at the Welcome Reception by the Honourable Lindsay Grant, Minister of Tourism and the Honourable Attorney General, Vincent Byron.
