Basseterre, St. Kitts, June 29, 2020 (ZIZ): Kittitian Shevaun Johnson recently received the MU Small Animal Surgery Award at the University of Missouri.
Shevaun is a 10th semester veterinary student at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine (RUSVM) and attends RUSVM through an agreement with the Government of St. Kitts-Nevis.
He was also featured in the Dean’s list.
In a press statement Johnson said “As a professional in a certain field, it is a refreshing feeling to be awarded for the work that you do. I used my knowledge that I obtained during my pre-clinical years at RUSVM in anatomy and surgical procedure not to just pass my small animal surgery rotation but to ace it and impress the surgery staff. To every Kittitian native reading this and is considering veterinary medicine for a career, remember, you are well and able to take on the world.”
