Antoine Adams qualifies for the sprint double for Rio

 

Great news for St.Kitts-Nevis Sprinter  Antoine Adams as he is now officially a dual qualifier for the 2016 Rio Olympics Games.  Adams attained the double  last evening (June 11th) when he ran 20.41 seconds in the men’s 200m at the JN Racers Grand Prix in Kingston, Jamaica.

He had previously qualified for the Rio Olympic Games in the 100m multiple times in 2015.

Earlier that day, his teammate, Tameka Williams, had also attained a qualifying mark in the 200m.

Antoine is expected to return to the federation during the course of the week to prepare for the upcoming Nationals (June 18 – 19th).

Currently, there are four (4) individual qualifiers namely:
Kim Collins (100m)
Antoine Adams (100m/200m)
Brijesh Lawrence (100m)
Tameka Williams (200m)

Congratulations is in order for all qualifiers who shall be competing at Nationals June 18th – 19th!
