Kingston, Jamaica, September 5, 2018 – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade in Jamaica has sent condolences to the family of St. Kitts and Nevis High Commissioner to Jamaica, His Excellency, Mr. Cedric Harper, following his sudden passing on Wednesday, August 29.
“For almost two decades, the high commissioner represented the interests of St. Kitts and Nevis in Jamaica with distinction and contributed to the strengthening of the close friendship between Jamaica and his beloved country, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Hon. Kamina Johnson Smith said.
“He will also be remembered as a profound educator and for his tenure as Dean of the Diplomatic Corp here in Kingston,” she added.
“The ministry conveys deepest condolences to the family of the bereaved, the members of staff of the High Commission and the Government of St. Kitts and Nevis, on behalf of the Government and people of Jamaica,” the statement said.
