Basseterre, St. Kitts, June 29, 2016 (RSCNPF): The Violent Crimes Unit (VCU) is currently investigating a shooting incident in St. Paul’s that resulted in injuries to 19 year old Kareem Benjamin of Willet’s.
The shooting occurred at around 11.50pm on Tuesday (June 28).
Initial investigations revealed that the victim was shot several times by an unknown assailant(s). He was taken to the Joseph N. France General Hospital where he is undergoing treatment.
Investigators from the Violent Crimes Unit and the Criminal Investigations Department and technicians from the Forensics Services Unit have canvassed the scene for evidence.
The parents of a 3-year-old Lake Stevens boy who was seriously injured after a 4-year-old neighbor shot him in the mouth Friday night had argued previously about the safety of guns in the home, court records show.
