St. Kitts-Nevis Times Pitches “Legends & Stars Golf Classic” to Minister of Tourism

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS – The St. Kitts-Nevis Times is calling on Minister of Tourism, Hon. Marsha Henderson, and her team to consider an exciting new event that could revolutionize sports tourism in the Federation—the “Legends & Stars Golf Classic.”

The proposed celebrity golf tournament would bring together globally recognized nationals of St. Kitts and Nevis alongside sports and entertainment icons from across the Caribbean. The event, strategically positioned outside peak tourism seasons, has the potential to attract thousands of visitors, injecting new energy into the destination.

Imagine a tournament featuring Kim Collins, Mykyle Louis, Atiba Harris, Joshua Williams, Cole Palmer, Marcus Rashford, Byron Messia, Pumpa, Kayamba Gumbs, and the Nevisian Tourism Ambassadors. To elevate the prestige, cricket legends Sir Viv Richards and Brian Lara, along with football icons Dwight Yorke and other regional stars, could also be invited.

This tournament could be a signature event for Tourism Week, showcasing St. Kitts and Nevis as a premier luxury sports destination. By inviting high-profile guests and leveraging global media attention, the tournament could boost the nation’s tourism brand, bringing economic and promotional benefits.

St. Kitts-Nevis Times urges Minister Henderson and the Ministry of Tourism to explore this innovative concept. With strategic planning and partnerships, the Legends & Stars Golf Classic could become an annual sports and entertainment spectacle, attracting sponsors, fans, and high-net-worth visitors.

Could this be the next must-attend event on the regional calendar? The ball is in the Ministry’s court!
