Phillo Wallace Inquest Begins on Nevis this Thursday Jan 21st
Basseterre, St.Kitts (January 18, 2016):- The Inquest into the activities surrounding the shooting death of young promising cricket phenom Phillo Wallace begins at Magistrate Court Charlestown, Nevis on Thursday Janaury 21st.
Young Wallace was shot and killed by an Off Duty Police Officer. The incident led to a widespread public outcry for Justice for the youth cricket star.
Reports indicated that on the day in question during the early morning, at about 3:45 a.m. Wallace was shot in the chest while at a Nevisian Bar called Enrique’s . He succumbed to his injury at the Alexandra Hospital after being transported there in a private vehicle.
Philo’s father, Raffie Wallace, himself a Nevisian Cricket legend, is expected to be one of the witnesses at the Inquest . The Elder Wallace was served with a summons dated January 13th, 2016 to appear at the Inquest on Thursday . The Inquest will be a private closed door affair and will be heard in the magistrates court, Charlestown.
The Coroner of the Inquest will be Her Worship Jasmine Clarke.
