PETROLEUM PRODUCT PRICES CONTINUE DOWNWARD TREND IN ST.LUCIA
Castries, St.Lucia (Feb 1st 2016):- Saint Lucia now has the lowest retail price for unleaded gasoline in the Eastern Caribbean Currency Union (ECCU). This is pursuant to the latest adjustments occasioned by changes in the price of crude oil on the international market.
Consumers in Saint Lucia will pay less for both gasoline and diesel as of Monday, February 1, 2016.
Gasoline will be sold for $0.51 less, at $9.72 per gallon, representing a drop below the existing price in every member state of the ECCU.
Diesel will be sold for $0.06 less, at $9.07 per gallon. Based on the existing prices of petroleum products across the ECCU, that is the third-lowest in the ECCU.
The retail prices of kerosene and all classes of liquid petroleum gas (LPG) – 100lb, 22lb and 20lb cylinders – remain unchanged from the previous period.
Attached is a schedule of the retail prices for petroleum products.
Government continues to subsidize the 20lb and 22lb LPG cylinders at a cost of $9.98 and $10.70 per cylinder respectively.
The next price adjustments will be made on February 22, 2016.
