BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, Tuesday 11th July, 2017 –Inkeeping with its commitment to youth development in the West Basseterre area, the Organization Really About Next Generation Empowerment better known as O.R.A.N.G.E along with its president Samal Duggins celebrated the achievements of the graduands of the Bronte Welsh Primary School and the Dr. William Connor PrimarySchool by making contributions at the schools’ respective graduation and prize giving ceremonies.
The celebration began on July 3rd 2017 at the Ocean Terrace Inn and saw Duggins present his annual scholarship to Darius Esdaille the most outstanding male graduand from the Bronte Welsh Primary School.
Just one day later, Duggins along with members of O.R.A.N.G.E journeyed to the Dr. William Connor Primary School graduation where parents and teachers were on hand to witness the presentation of the O.R.A.N.G.E Youth Leadership Award to Naeem Gillard and the Samal Duggins Award for the Best Overall Performance by a male to Dijon Samuel.
“I am living proof that scholarships make a difference in the way our young people approach learning and approach life. It is incumbent on us as a community to continue to plant these seeds of hope in our young people,” remarked Duggins who for the past 12 years has made a financial contribution to the ‘best performing’ male student.
O.R.A.N.G.E continues to do its part uplift the West Basseterre community as it recently visited the St. Kitts Cardin Home in St. Johnston Village and presented care packages of adult diapers, catheters, toiletries and juices to the residents.
