Minister of Tourism, International Trade, Industry and Commerce Hon. Lindsay Grant has been successfully balancing the oversight of several ministries including the hugely successful Ministry of Tourism along with maintaining an extremely constant presence within his Constituency#4 of which he is the Parliamentary Representative. While overseeing the rapid growth in the Ministry of Tourism and the dynamism of the Ministries of International Trade, Industry and Commerce Grant has been able remain constantly engaged and in tuned with his constituents through a number of daily, weekly and monthly activities.
Once a week MP Grant hosts constituency meetings at his office where constituents are invited to attend and have frank and open discussions regarding the development of the constituency as well as their own respective development and how MP Grant as the Parliamentary can implement and or facilitate that development. Over the last three weeks he has met with hundreds across the constituency in meetings held in Halfway Tree, Challengers and Old Road. The Busy MP also conducts weekly one and one constituency consultations every Saturday from 7am to 11am at his Constituency Office in Old Road. These activities are complimented by his regular constituency walk-thru’s. In addition to all this, the MP still manages to find time to organize and participate in Community Spirit building activities which normally takes place on the weekend. In recent weeks Hon. Grant took 40 Constituents on an ATV Tour of Wingfield Estate and Caribelle Batik. Another similar activity is scheduled for June 10th when Hon. Grant will lead scores of his constituents on an Eco Walk from Ross University to Challengers Village. On Mother’s Day he hosted over 200 mothers at his annual Mother’s Day Luncheon held at Sprat Net.
“It has been a difficult task maintaining my responsibilities both as a Minister of Government as well as a parliamentary representative but I am able to do it because I am constantly motivated and inspired by the hundreds of my constituents who depend on me not only for leadership but to provide, facilitate and implement the necessary environment that will ensure the overall development of individuals, families, communities, the constituency and the country,” said Minister Grant.
“They all depend on me and I will continue to work hard to ensure that I don’t let them down and that I do my best to ensure that all experience their own prosperity in addition to the prosperity of the country,” Grant continued.
