Belle Mont Farm, the internationally acclaimed luxury hotel at Kittitian Hill, will host a job fair in late October to recruit additional team members for the hotel’s upcoming busy winter season says General Manager Carlos Salazar.
“We are seeking over one hundred enthusiastic, friendly Kittitians and Nevisians with a great attitude to join our hospitality team,” stated Mr. Salazar.
There are currently 146 hotel employees,” stated Public Relations Manager Johan Kelly. “The development and construction of Kittitian Hill employ over 400 people with 150 persons directly employed by the developer and 40 building contractors with over 250 staff, all busy working on completing construction of phase 1.”
Kittitian Hill commenced its annual seasonal closure on September 1 and will remain closed through to October 31, 2015. “This period will allow the opportunity for hotel improvements in preparation for the high season later this year,” Ms. Kelly explained.
“On November 1, Belle Mont Farm will re-open with 84 guesthouses, 10 three and four-bedroom villas and one four-bedroom farmhouse. Culinary experiences will include The Kitchen & Mill Bar, the Pool Grille, The Farm, Storytelling at Coco House and Arthur’s sea-to-fork restaurant,” revealed the Public Relations Manager. “Other amenities will include tennis courts, Mango Walk Wellness Centre and Irie Fields 18-hole championship golf course.”
St. Kitts & Nevis is expected to double its room occupancy in the next two years, says Minister of Tourism Lindsay Grant.
Along with Kittitian Hill the luxury five-star 125-room Park Hyatt overlooking The Narrows between St. Kitts & Nevis – is set to open next year and the 226-suite Embassy Suites by Hilton in Pelican Bay and the Radisson are scheduled to be launched in 2017.
“These new facilities will be a major boost for economic development and tourism,” Minister of Tourism Grant stated. “At the moment, we have about 1,500 rooms and the new hotels are expected to add another 1,000. The challenge is to ensure we have relevant marketing strategies and airlift to drive tourists to our destination.”
The new hotels will bring even more Jobs to the federation as hundreds more Jobs will become available with the opening of these resorts.
The Kittitian Hill is no doubt just the start of a slew of jobs that will become available with the opening of these additional resort projects.
