Basseterre,St.Kitts (February 24th, 2016):- Steadroy Walwyn, the brother of former Police Chief CG Walwyn  and Elaine Cooper were found guilty of Possession of Cocaine following a November 22^nd drug bust. .

According to sources, District (A) Resident Magistrate Her Ladyship Josephine Mallalieu found both Walwyn and Cooper guilty today Wednesday 24^th February 2016.

Steadroy Walwyn was ordered to pay the sum of $400,000.00 EC Dollars or Serve Four (4) years in prison.  Elaine Cooper was ordered to pay the sum of $100,000.00 EC Dollars or serve four (4) years in prison.

“On Sunday 22^nd November 2015 a joint operation commenced at the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport and ended with the arrest of three (3) persons at a residence in Buckley’s Site.

A Search Warrant was executed on the premises for possession of controlled drugs, firearms and ammunition. During the search, 1.22 kilos of Cocaine was discovered in a false compartment within a suitcase. All three (3) persons were taken into police custody and are expected to be charged in connection with the incident”.
