Dead Japanese Pannist Strangled says Autposy
Port of Spain, Trinidad (February 11th 2016):- The cause of death of the Japanese maquerader found in the Queen’s Park Savannah on Wednesday, has been identified.
Asami Nagakiya was strangled, according to an autopsy conducted at the Forensic Sciences Centre Thursday morning.
Up until this morning’s autopsy, the police had said they did not know what led to her death, although marks of violence – including a slash on her arm – were seen.
Nagakiya is described as a well known pannist from Japan who was a frequent visitor to Trinidad and Tobago Carnival to participate in Panorama.
She played mas with Legacy and was discovered still in her costume.
