BRING YOUR RÉSUMÉ TO PARK HYATT ST. KITTS’ INFORMATION SESSIONS
BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, AUGUST 22ND, 2016 (PRESS SEC) – The Park Hyatt St. Kitts at Christophe Harbour is inviting Kittitians and Nevisians to bring their résumés to several community information sessions this week, where members of its management team will share details of employment opportunities. No advance reservation is necessary to attend.
On Wednesday, August 24th in St. Kitts, information sessions will be held at Charles E. Mills High School at 9:30am, St. Paul’s Primary School at 11:30am, Cayon High School at 2:30pm and Tucker Clarke Primary School at 4:30pm. On Thursday, August 25th in Nevis, an information session will be held at the St. Paul’s Anglican Church Hall at 10:30am.
“In our country, there is a high demand for jobs,” Prime Minister Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris said today on The People’s Voice on Sugar City 90.3 FM. Prime Minister Harris was His Excellency Ambassador Michael Powell’s special guest this morning and, if you happened to miss the broadcast, you can hear the rebroadcast tonight from 8:00pm to 9:00pm.
Dr. Harris added that, “When I met with the principals of the Park Hyatt St. Kitts on the weekend, they said they are looking for another hundred employees across a full range of skills for the Range Developments’ Park Hyatt project on the Southeast Peninsula. Ads are in this weekend’s newspaper [the St. Kitts-Nevis Observer Newspaper, and also on www.sknvibes.com].”
The construction of the Park Hyatt St. Kitts, which is being developed by Range Developments, has already resulted in the employment of 564 people, Prime Minister Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris said at his May 30th press conference.
“We are looking for approximately 150 workers to complete the project,” said Mr. Richard Havercroft, the Project Manager of Kier Construction, in June. Kier Construction is the builder of the Park Hyatt St. Kitts, which will open at Banana Bay on the Southeast Peninsula in late 2016.
In addition to the approximately 714 people who have been given job opportunities by Kier Construction, the Park Hyatt St. Kitts has a total of 306 hotel employees as of today, August 22nd, 2016, meaning that more than 1,000 jobs have been created by this one project.
Locally based jobs that the Park Hyatt St. Kitts is currently advertising are for the following positions: Associate Director of Sales & Events, Assistant Front Office Manager, Spa Manager, IT Manager, Training Manager, Security Manager, Assistant Manager (Engineering), Restaurant Manager, Executive Sous Chef, Chef de Cuisine, and Pastry Chef. Applications are preferred through the www.hyatt.jobs website, which has information on all job specifications and qualification requirements.
The Park Hyatt St. Kitts has already held four employment information sessions during its Employment Information Day at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort on Tuesday, May 3rd.

The Park Hyatt St. Kitts at Christophe Harbour is the first Caribbean-based Park Hyatt, which is the most premium brand of the Hyatt Hotels Corporation. Overlooking The Narrows strait that separates St. Kitts from Nevis, the luxury 5-star Park Hyatt St. Kitts will have 126 guestrooms, with many suites appointed with individual rooftop pools. Amenities will include outdoor infinity pools, a fitness centre, a signature spa, three world-class food and beverage outlets, and 7,000 square feet of meeting and banquet space.
