Basseterre, St. Kitts, March 17, 2018 (RSCNPF): Police are investigating an attempted murder incident that occurred at Taylors Village. At about9:15 p.m. the police responded to a report of a shooting at Taylor’s Housing on Friday (March 16).

 

Investigations so far have revealed that 35-year-old Hanibal Bassue and another person had returned home and were walking to go inside the house when an unknown gunman opened fire on them. They ran, however, Bassue was shot several times about the body. He was transported to the J.N.F. Hospital where he was treated for his injuries and is listed as being in a stable condition.

 

The scene was visited by the Crime Scene Unit and items of evidential value were taken into police custody. Investigations into the matter are ongoing. Persons with information regarding this incident are urged to contact the Violent Crime Unit at the Basseterre Police Station 465-2241 or their
