One of the hottest destinations in the Caribbean is getting a lift from Canada’s biggest carrier.
Air Canada has announced that it will be expanding its flight service from Toronto to St Kitts, serving the island for a full six months between November and the end of April.
Air Canada will be operating a weekly nonstop Saturday flight from Nov. 3 through April 27, 2019.
“This is an unprecedented air service expansion by Air Canada that marks yet another historic first for St Kitts,” said St Kitts Tourism Minister Lindsey Grant. “I could not be more pleased to welcome this additional flying.”
From November through Dec. 10, Air Canada will operate the flights on its 136-seat Airbus A319 Rouge aircraft, with 124 seats in economy and 13 seats in business.
Beginning Dec. 15, the carrier will operate the service on 200-seat Airbus A321 aircraft with 184 seats in economy and 16 in business.
The flights will depart Toronto at 8:20 AM, arriving in St Kitts at 12:55 PM. The return flight will depart St Kitts at 2:45 and arrive in Toronto at 6:55 PM.
St Kitts has jetted to the forefront of the region’s tourism in 2018, in large part thanks to the debut of the world-class Park Hyatt St Kitts, the ultra-luxe brand’s first in the Caribbean, a property that continues to pick up accolades. (It was named New Hotel of the Year by Caribbean Journal at the end of December).
