St. Vincent and the Grenadines Receives Special Greetings from St.Kitts-Nevis on celebration of 36 years of Independence
Basseterre, St. Kitts, October 24, 2015 (SKNIS)—Prime Minister of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis, Dr. the Honourable Timothy Sylvester Harris, has extended warm congratulations on behalf of the Government and People of the Federation to Prime Minister of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Dr. the Honourable Ralph Gonsalves, on his country’s attainment of 36 years of nationhood.
St. Vincent and the Grenadines became an independent state on October 27, 1979. This year, the country celebrates Independence under the theme “Working Together to Enhance National Pride.”
In his congratulatory message to the Government and People of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Dr. Harris said “I avail myself of this significant anniversary to reiterate the determination of my recently elected Government, to continue working closely on matters of mutual and common interest, not only on a sub-regional level, but also regionally and internationally.”
“It is my fervent hope that the mutual bonds shared by our countries will be maintained and strengthened even as we achieve new heights and face the many unforeseen challenges unique to our region,” Prime Minister Harris said, adding that he wished Dr. Gonsalves best wishes for his personal well-being and for the continued prosperity of his nation.
