Razba Overstayed !! Appeals Court Orders His Release Forthwith

Razba Matthew is today a Free Man after the Eastern Caribbean Court of Appeal released him from jail fortwith after it was realized that the young man had overstayed his sentence.
In July 2011 Razba was sentenced to 7 years in Prison. However the sentence also included time served on remand. And as at the time of his appeal on October 12th 2015 he may have already served his time and more. This was drawn to the attention of the Appeals Court by Acting DPP Arudranauth Gossie.

The confusion or miscalculation in his sentence resulted in the young man overstaying and may have been in prison illegally for the last 3 months.
Matthew was convicted of Manslaughter after the shooting death of 14-year-old Stancia Lake on August 8, 2009 at a home located at the corner of Wigley Avenue and Cayon Street.
