Infamus with GM of the St.Kitts Bottling Company I Kiethley Phillip
Basseterre, St.Kitts (September 9th, 2015) — As of recent times, the local scene has seen an explosion of indigenous artists carving out a unique space in the Hip Hop market. Currently, the leading Entertainer is arguably Kervin Benjamin, who goes by the stage name, “Infamus.” Infamus surfaced in 2009, with his first release called 21 Gun Salute. In the ensuing years, he has released quite a significant number of songs. He has also traveled regionally and internationally to perform at a variety of concerts. When asked about his favourite song(s) to date, Infamus hastened to list “21 Gun Salute,” “Feel Like Crying,” and his latest National Anthem, which he calls, “Me Love St. Kitts Bad.”
With the aforementioned accomplishments, Infamus’ contributions have not gone unnoticed. For example, last week, the Artist signed a contract with the St. Kitts Bottling Company. The company has engaged him as its Brand Ambassador for Sparkle, one of the manufacturer’s leading brands. As part of the relationship, Infamus will promote the Sparkle brand for a specified period of time. It will also see the Performer go on a School Tour across St. Kitts and Nevis, where he will promote civic-minded topics including Abstinence, Focusing on Education, and committing to extra-curricular activities.
In an interview with the Entertainer, Infamus noted that he felt privileged to be considered by the St. Kitts Bottling Company for such an honour. He explained that he has had many other stints before but nothing as elaborate as the present one with the St. Kitts Bottling Company.
At the signing of the agreement, Mr. Ivor Keithley Phillip, the General Manager of the St. Kitts Bottling Company, expressed that the feeling was mutual. Phillip said that in seeking a Brand Ambassador, the company searched for someone who was talented at the art form, credible, familiar, believable, relevant, and trustworthy, all attributes possessed by Infamus. He registered that he foresees a long-term relationship with the Performer, and his wish is for other local companies to emulate the St. Kitts Bottling Company in supporting their own. As all of us “Should Love St. Kitts Bad….
