This Sunday, 22nd April, 2018, the Children’s Dance Theatre’s (CDT) will release the first edition of its newspaper-themed recital ‘The Dance Chronicle’. Scheduled to take place at the Sir Cecil Jacob’s Auditorium, this edition is already sold out and promises to showcase the importance of our newspapers, while highlighting many of the well known headlines usually found in them.

Under the guidance of its Editor-in-chief, Ms. L. Julie Martin, the staff writers, Heidi Slack,Taji Hamilton, Kaila Powell, Shanda LaBega and April Burt, have created unique takes on well known and beloved topics. Through the use of creative and dynamic movement, CDT’s three groups Sparks, Starlights and Rockets will delight attendees with their talent and exquisite costumes. Some of CDT’s Alumni, The Fireflies Dance School and The Creative Sole Dance Company have also made submissions and will further educate and captivate the audience. ‘The Dance Chronicle’ promises to be an enhanting evening of various dance styles  by the  one hundred and seven (107) dancers presently enrolled with the Theatre which is celebrating its twenty eight year of existence.
