The ABLP scored a crushing victory over the Harold Lovell-led United Progressive Party (UPP) and the Democratic National Alliance (DNA) led by Joanne Massiah after winning 15 of the 17 contested seats.

Prime Minister Harris wrote in a congratulatory letter to Prime Minister Browne, “Your re-election to high office by an increased margin is a strong vote of confidence in your leadership at the helm of the Antigua & Barbuda Labour Party. It is also a reflection of your firm commitment to nation building, and the growth and development of your beloved native land, in the face of myriad challenges ushered by current global realities.”

The St. Kitts and Nevis prime minister continued by saying he looks forward to working with Prime Minister Browne at the “regional, Hemispheric, and multilateral levels as we seek to improve the lives of the people we have been elected to serve.”
