Six Sense-St.Kitts Hotel Deal to Include Unprecedented Social Development Commitment

The Historic agreement signing of the Six Sense-St.Kitts Hotel Resort Development project not only included a commitment to construct and develop a World Class 7 Star Luxury Resort Hotel that will provide hundreds of Jobs for the people of St.Kitts-Nevis , but it also includes a Social Development commitment that will see the new resort supporting the social development of the country thru a plethora of commitments . These committments include :
- 10,000 Hours of Community Service by Hotel Management and Staff
- 15 Internships Annually for Hospitality Students at the CFB College
- Percentage of Annual Revenue Committed to Establishment and Maintenance of Entrepeneur Development Fund to Provide Financing for Young Entrepenuers
- Establishment of a Sustainable Development Fund
- Scholarships for Students in Hospitality Management
The commitments, according to the developer Mohammed Asaria and his Range Development as well as Bernhard ‘BB’ Bohnenberger CEO Of Six Senses, were pursued and insisted upon by Prime Minister Harris and the Team UNITY Government. This they declared was a strong indication of the St.Kitts-Nevis Team UNITY government’s commitment to not only the development of the Tourism Industry but also the overall development of the people.
Prime Minister Harris expressed his gratitude to the President of the Six Senses-St.Kitts Resort project and highlighted the very healthy and mutually respectful relationship that has developed between the developers of the project Range Development and the government of St.Kitts-Nevis
“Let me thank the principals of the Range for the opportunity to work with them over the last 3 years. We have a healthy respect for each other and I thank them for keeping their word.
We will work together to make this historic occasion a real opportunity for the people of St Kitts and Nevis,” stated PM Harris.
The Six Senses-St.Kitts is expected to employ near 1000 persons between construction and operational phases and is set to break ground and begin construction in September 2018. The Hotel Resort is scheduled for a last quarter 2021 Opening.
