Nevisian Bernell Sutton Remembers his Wife Claudia who was a 911 Victim of Nevisian Heritage
Basseterre, St.Kitts (September 11 2016):- 15 years ago Today, on September 11, 2001, two airplanes struck the twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York in what is easily the worst terrorist attack on US soil.
The attack was part of a series of four suicide attacks that were coordinated to strike areas of New York City and Washington, D.C.
One National of St.Kitts-Nevis lost her life in the Twin Towers on that tragic and fateful day. Her Name was Claudia Suzette Sutton
The 34 year old Claudia Suzette Sutton was a beautiful, vibrant young woman . Mrs. Sutton worked for Cantor Fitzgerald in New York, NY. She died in the World Trade Center attacks on September 11, 2001. She was their Senior Regulator Accountant. Claudia was not just a woman who worked at Cantor Fitzgerald, she was a beautiful wife, a doting mother of two sweet children, a terrific friend and a loving daughter to her parents. Although raised in the Virgin islands , Claudia was proud extremely proud of her Nevisian heritage. Her mother is Ophelia Walters
(was Ophelia Browne before marriage) from Zion Village in Nevis. Her husband was Burnell Sutton from Pond Hill in Nevis.
Claudia was survived by her Husband Bernell and her children Kadijah and Kyle.

The name of Claudia has been inscribed, along with the 2,983 names of the men, women, and children killed on that day, into bronze parapets surrounding the twin memorial pools, located in the footprints of the Twin Towers.
