WATCH Video: Kim Collins Wins World Challenge in Germany
Kim Collins continues his unbeleivable form as a 40 year old Sprinter when he won the IAAF World Challenge in Berlin, Germany.
The Berlin Event witnessed some six Olympic champions from Rio 2016 however, it was Collins who garnered praise for his continuing phenomenal performances .
The former world champion in Paris 2003 and 6 time World Championship medallist both indoors and outdoors including a bronze in the Daegu worlds eight years after his historic Paris gold was in blistering form at the Berlin Meet. Three months after setting the historic 9.93 seconds in Bottrop, which was the fastest time of his career and of any human being over the age of 35, Collins was the first to enter the finish line in 10.07 secs, ahead of Briton Joel Fearon (10.16) and Rio 200m Olympic bronze medallist Frenchman Christophe Lemaitre, who came in at 10.19.
Since his historic Gold Medal performance at the Paris World Championships some 13 years ago Kim Collins has never ceased to amaze.
“ I am happy with the victory. I have been in Berlin many times and I have a special relationship with the city. I am glad that once again I was invited to this meeting. In the evening will be a party, and I will be able to check out as a DJ,” – said Collins.
Collins celebrated his victory by performing as the featured Guest DJ at a popular Berlin Night Club.
