The federation of St.Kitts-Nevis is reeling yet again from another Early Morning Murder . A young man was shot and killed on the streets of  the Capital Basseterre. Iston Mitcham alias Nuzzle is the second mid morning or so called “breakfast murder” in the last 2 days. Shammond Herbert was shot and Killed in the vicinity of the Fisheries Complex on Tuesday morning after dropping his child off at a close by pre-school.
This is the federation’s 35th Murder in the Last 20 months. An average of almost 2 murders a month. In 2013 the country had the highest murder rate in the OECS and the 2nd Highest in the wider Caribbean. In 2011 it had the highest murder rate in the world.
