Basseterre, St. Kitts, March 18, 2018 (RSCNPF): Officers from the Violent Crime Unit are investigating an attempted murder case which occurred in Stapleton Village, St. Peters.

 

Police investigations so far have revealed that at about 9 a.m. on Saturday (March 17), 24-year-old Ricardo Jeffers got into an argument with another person, then a fight ensued. Reports indicate that gunshots were heard at some point during the fight and Jeffers began to run away when he was shot once in his side.

 

He was taken to the J.N.F Hospital where he was being treated for his injury and is listed as being in a stable condition. The area was processed by the Crime Scene Unit and two persons were taken into police custody in relation to the incident. Investigations into the matter are ongoing. Persons with information regarding this incident are urged to contact the Violent Crime Unit at the Basseterre Police Station at 465-2241 or their nearest police station.
