ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- After losing many of their possessions, including household and electronic items following the passage of hurricanes Irma and Maria two months ago, it is hardly surprising that residents of the Virgin Islands are capitalising on the various deals for Black Friday, today, November 24, 2017.
One of the biggest sales is being held at Cash and Carry in Pasea Estate and residents have been flocking that establishment since doors opened around 6:00 A.M. Some have even been waiting overnight to get the best positions for what they want, a strange site to be sure. Still, their determination must hold some merit.
Many have been seen purchasing electronic items, including televisions, laptops, music systems and kitchen appliances and of course generators. Some have been extra savvy, going to browse around this site and others that offer additional promo codes and coupons to save even more during this sale event.
The sale is being dubbed “one of the biggest sales the island has seen” and seems to be on its way to living up to that hype. Everyone seems to be involved in some way, shape, or form, giving a strange but upbeat atmosphere across the area from the savings found today.
Added to that Flow has teamed up with Cash and Carry and have been giving some amazing deals, including on Samsung Galaxy S8, S8 Edge and Samsung Galaxy Note 8.
Other businesses that have Black Friday sales include One Mart Superstore, VI Motors, which is giving 20% off on all items in the store, and Five Girls Limited.
The sales are being seen as a much needed relief for customers hard hit by the recent hurricanes and the jacking up of prices by some businesses.
While the Black Friday sales are welcomed Consumer Protection Legislation will still be welcomed too.
