St. Kitts-Nevis Volleyballers at NORCECA Cup in Jamaica
(ZIZ News) – Genelle Lake, Michelle Demming, Brenda Allen and Shanicia Dyer along with St. Clair Hodge, Rohan Jeffers. Kemoroy Percival. Steadroy Collins are in Ocho Rios, Jamaica where they will represent St. Kitts and Nevis in the Mens and Women’s Beach Volleyball North, Central America And Caribbean Volleyball Confederation (NORCECA) Continental Cup.
The local girls will compete against players from host country Jamaica, St. Lucia, Antigua, French St. Martin, Dominica, Grenada, Cayman Islands, Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados, Suriname and US Virgin Islands.
The men have qualified for the 3rd Round of the Cup and will be heading to Antigua to make it to the next round
The NORCECA Continental Cup is the second of four rounds and serves as a qualifying event for the 2016 Rio Olympics.
The top eight teams of this round are expected to advance to round three of the competition.
St. Kitts and Nevis is currently ranked 4th in the Eastern Caribbean (Zonal) Volleyball Association.
The event takes place on Ocho Rios Beach daily and runs from January 29 to January 31.
