St.Kitts-Nevis Minister of Foreign Affairs Congratulates New Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau
St.Kitts-Nevis Minister of Foreign Affairs Hon. Mark Brantley has congratulated new Prime Minister-Elect of Canada Hon. Justin Trudeau following the Liberal Party’s victory in the country’s general elections.
Minister Brantley expressed “Warm congratulations to Prime Minister elect Trudeau. Your victory is testament to the trust that the people of Canada have placed in you and your vision to lead them on a path to prosperity for all . St. Kitts and Nevis is on a similar path and looks forward to continuing its partnership and cooperation with the great Nation of Canada.”
Canada and St.Kitts-Nevis has had a long and very amicable relationship dating back decades when Prime Minister-Elect Trudeau’s Father Pierre Trudeau was Prime Minister. Minister Brantley since assuming office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in February 2015 has been in constant talks with Canadian High Officials in an effort to strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation between both country’s. A Cooepration and Partnership that Minister Brantley is confident that Prime Minister elect Trudeau will actively maintain and pursue.
Justin Trudeau led the Liberal Party at the young age of 43 to a decisive victory at the polls defeating incumbent Conservative leader and 10 year Prime Minister Stephen Harper.
