Brimstone Hill Overlooking Sandy Point including LaVallee

LaVallee, Sandy Point-St.Kitts (March 6th, 2018):-Deputy Prime Minister of St.Kitts-Nevis the Hon. Shawn K. Richards has expressed his pleasure in welcoming the Six Senses Hotel Resort Spa to his hometown , the historic City of  Sandy Point. The Parliamentary representative of the area which includes Sandy Point, Fig Tree and LaVallee could not contain his excitement when discussing the new project which will be located in LaVallee

“I am not only certainly excited about the possibilities and opportunities this new development will bring to the people of St.Kitts-Nevis but also in particular the people of the constituency#5  which  I am proud to represent in the National  Assembly and  includes  the proud Town of Sandy Point including Fig Tree and LaVallee,” said Deputy PM Richards

The Six Senses will be developed on some 41 Acres at what is known as the LaVallee Greens. The entire LaVallee greens comprises some 500 plus acres of land.

Sandy Point was the original landing point for the English sea captain and explorer, Sir Thomas Warner, in 1623. After being founded in the 1620s, the town became the commercial centre of St. Kitts and was one of the busiest ports in the region, as evidenced by the remains of the many former Dutch warehouses lining the shoreline, which once totalled over 300. It is also the home of the Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park, the largest fortress ever built in the Eastern Caribbean by the British. The  fortress was constructed to defend the town’s port and the downhill fortress of Fort Charles (Saint Kitts), which in turn was the colony’s second largest fortification.

“The Six Senses prides itself on finding and choosing the most unique and exquisite locations and the home of their first Caribbean development at LaVallee, Sandy Point in St.Kitts-Nevis certainly exudes those characteristics. Six Senses Resort Spas will be sharing the hometown of the world famous Brimstone Hill Fortress and the original landing point of Christopher Columbus in the Caribbean,” said Deputy Prime Minister Richards

The new development is expected to provide some 800 Jobs between construction and operational stages. Deputy PM Richards indicated that this certainly would provide a wealth of Job Opportunities for his constituents in addition to nationals and residents of St.Kitts-Nevis.

“The new Six Senses Resort Development will bring hundreds of Job Opportunities that nationals and residents and in particular constituents can take advantage of. The government will strive to put the necessary programmes and mechanisms in place that will ensure that our people can directly or indirectly benefit from the opportunities the new resort will provide,” declared Deputy PM Ricahrds .

The Six Senses Resort St.Kitts is expected to feature  70 pool villas all  with sea views and an unspoiled environment that gives the glorious feeling of being isolated from civilization and amid nature.

Overlooking the resort’s nature reserve, Six Senses St Kitts will feature a menu of Six Senses specialty treatments as well as Caribbean healing traditions and rejuvenation journeys, Six Senses Integrative Wellness, detox, yoga and workshops. An Alchemy Bar will be a fascinating extension to spa personalization, first developed at Six Senses Spa Douro Valley in Portugal. There will be a dedicated pavilion for yoga and a fully-equipped gym in addition to a spa boutique which will offer products and exclusively developed for Six Senses.
