Basseterre, St. Kitts, 1st March, 2018 (MyVueNews.com) – The world’s largest cruise ship, Symphony of the Seas, will make its inaugural visit to Port Zante, St. Kitts in December 2018.
Currently completing its fittings at St. Nazaire, France, the ship will leave the Mediterranean in November 2018 for Miami, from where its cruises to the Eastern Caribbean will be launched.
St. Kitts & Nevis is among a few Eastern Caribbean where the ship will dock. On 8th December, Symphony of the Seas will leave Miami for St. Kitts, its first port of call on an itinerary that includes St. Thomas, Nassau, then back to Miami.
The ship is owned by the Royal Caribbean cruise line. Symphony of the Seas will join its sister ships Harmony of the Seas, Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas, all of which visit St. Kitts on a regular basis. These are the largest cruise ships in the world, with Symphony being the largest by far over its runner-up, Harmony of the Seas.
Royal Caribbean writes about St. Kitts, “The island is authentically Caribbean and replete with lush natural wonders and a relaxed vibe… There are lots of attractions and activities to check out that are unique to St. Kitts.”
The 1,888-foot-long Symphony of the Seas will carry a maximum of 6,680 passengers and a 2,200-person crew. Among the many features on the 18-deck ship are a children’s water park, a full-sized basketball court, a 10-story high waterfall, an ice-skating rink and two 43-foot high rock-climbing walls.
