Rising St.Kitts Island Pop Star Dejour featured in first episode of new documentary mini-series by Island Expressions

KITTS, Tuesday 15th March, 2016 —From the people who brought you the well-loved Island Xpressions Show, the thought-provoking Project POETRY National High School Spoken Word Poetry Competition, comes “Between the Lines” – a documentary mini-series on the lives and artistic development of some of the nation’s most prominent entertainers and personalities.

The concept for this series was conceptualized by Samal Duggins, CEO Island Xpressions, back in 2012. Now four years later, after careful crafting, Duggins is today, Tuesday 15th March, 2016, launching “Between the Lines” which promises to be another successful initiative undertaken by his team. As an avid lover of the arts, Duggins continues to find meaningful ways to showcase young talent within the Federation, while giving viewers a glimpse of the persons behind the artistic expressions.

“Music, the arts, as well as youth development are very dear to me,” intimated an enthusiastic Duggins. “Between the Lines provides that vehicle to merge all three together, where my team and I are able to capture and promote the music and arts industry in the Federation, and highlight the positive works of the young people around us.”

In the first episode launched today, singing sensationDejour Alexander is featured and his interview will give his fans much insight into his life and his journey to success as a young entertainer in St. Kitts & Nevis.

“Between the Lines is something that I am very proud of and excited to share with the wider public. Most persons have grown to adopt our theme at our Island Xpressions open mic shows – “Be You, Feel Free, Xpress Yourself”- and I do sincerely believe that this new online series will provide another medium for artists to do just that,” said Duggins.
