Reach Me Corporation Launches “Women Behind the Lens” Photography and Videography Workshop

On Saturday, March 8, 2025, Reach Me Corporation officially launched its highly anticipated Photography and Videography Workshop under the theme “Women Behind the Lens.” The four-week program is a groundbreaking initiative aimed at empowering women by equipping them with the skills, confidence, and opportunities to make their mark in the world of visual storytelling.
Held at The Nevis Heritage Village in Gingerland, Nevis, the launch was an inspiring evening filled with purpose, passion, and a deep commitment to supporting women in the creative industry.
For too long, the photography and videography industries have been dominated by men, leaving many talented women without the resources, representation, or encouragement to pursue careers behind the camera. “Women Behind the Lens” is changing that narrative by providing a safe, supportive, and skill-building environment where women can explore their creativity and develop technical expertise.

The workshop is designed not just to teach skills, but to ignite confidence, helping women see their perspectives as valuable, their stories as worth telling, and their presence behind the camera as powerful.
The launch event was a powerful and inspiring gathering, setting the stage for the transformative journey ahead. CEO Hazel Brandy-Williams shared heartfelt remarks, reaffirming Reach Me Corporation’s commitment to women’s empowerment and creative education. This was followed by a moving speech from motivational speaker Judith Dasent, a veteran in video production with nearly four decades of experience. She shared her personal journey, encouraging attendees to seize opportunities, push past doubt, and embrace their creative potential. The event’s patron, Errol Pemberton, a celebrated photographer and entrepreneur, imparted words of wisdom on the importance of mentorship, storytelling, and passion, urging participants to embrace their unique artistic vision. Complementing these inspirational speeches were musical performances and artistic expressions, including a saxophone performance and a powerful spoken word piece which set the tone for the empowering weeks ahead.
Guiding the participants on this journey of learning and discovery are two exceptional instructors:
Videography Instructor: Giddel Smithen (Tilt Hat Visuals)

More Than Just a Workshop – A Movement
The four-week journey of “Women Behind the Lens” will be about more than technical skills, it will be about building confidence, fostering connections, and reshaping the creative landscape for women in St. Kitts and Nevis.
This initiative is a bold step toward creating space for women in the creative industry and ensuring that their stories are seen, their voices are heard, and their perspectives are valued.
With the support of Reach Me Corporation, dedicated mentors, and the vibrant creative community, this workshop marks the beginning of something bigger. A future where more women stand behind the lens, shaping narratives, capturing realities, and redefining media on their own terms.
