Money, Money, More Money !!!….. SKNABA Doubles Cash Prizes For 2016 Season

Basketball City, St.Kitts (March 12th 2016):- The St.Kitts-Nevis Amateur Basketball Association is DOUBLING the Cash Prizes for this year’s 2016 National Basketball League. The announcement was made President Romel Tobias on Thursday during a  meeting convened by the association.

Tobias indicated that based on suggestions made by the Clubs at prior meetings the SKNABA Executive had taken the decision to double the Prize Monies for this year’s tournament . The SKNABA National Premier Division Champions will receive $3000 Cash up from $1500 over the last few years. The Runner-Up will see their Cash prize increase to $1500 from $850. For the first time all Final Four Teams will receive a Cash Prize .

The “A” Division also saw similar increases in the prize money with the Champions now receving $1200 Cash up from $850 in prior seasons. Another first would be the awarding of token cash prizes to the top 4 teams in the J-League(Junior Division). Each team in the final four of the J-League will receive $100.

All the Cash Prizes will be in addition to Trophies and other awards and prizes. The Executive has also indicated that they will be pursuing the procurement of Championship Rings for the winning team for the first time ever.

The SKNABA 2016 Season Officially Tips Off on Sunday April 3rd 2016 at Basketball City at 4pm.
