Road Town, BVI (November 17th 2016):- A young man in his early twenties was this afternoon, November 17, 2016, shot and killed in Long Look, in the area of the Stickette. Dead is Estavan Jefferson.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting are unknown at this time; however, information suggests that another male was also injured in the shooting.

Police later this evening disclosed that they received a report around 6:05 pm of shots being fired in the area.

“Investigation revealed a male, who suffered gunshot wounds, succumbed to the injuries.”

Members of the Major Investigation Team assisted by other units of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force are on the scene at the Stickette conducting investigation.

Persons in the area at the time of the shooting are encouraged to assist the officers in their investigation.
