Jerome Williams Sentenced to 20 Years for Murder
Basseterre, St;.Kitts (January 19th 2016):- 54-year-old Jerome Kelvin Williams of Maynard Ground, Nevis has been sentenced to prison for 20 years with hard labour after being found guilty of the May 2013 murder of 18-year-old Chazere Davis.
The sentencing hearing for Williams was held on Monday January 18, at the High Court in Nevis.
Davis, an 18 year Old Nevis Sixth Form Student , was found dead in her bedroom by her grandmother.
Williams was questioned after police acted on information received that the victim was last seen in the presence of Williams. Williams was found in his bathroom bleeding from self inflicted wounds to the neck and wrists in an apparent suicide attempt .
A post mortem concluded that Davis had died from strangulation.
