Infamus, Nicha B , Small Axe Band Headlines All Star Homegrown Concert for Peace in Basseterre.

Basseterre, St.Kitts (February 19th 2016) :-

The City Center in Basseterre, St.Kitts at the Circus will come alive with excitement today Friday 19th February with the first ever SOUNDS OF PEACE Anti-Crime Youth Concert and Rally. The massive event is an initiative of the Team UNITY Government and forms part of the 1st Anniversary Week of Activities for the Government of National UNITY. The Youth Organised event which is being held under the auspicies of the Prime Minister and Minister of National Security Hon. Dr. Timothy Harris and Deputy Prime Minister of Culture and Youth Hon. Shawn K. Richards is intended firstly to be a clarion call to the nation’s youth to put down their guns and pick up and utilize their talents in positive activities.

All performers and performances will be punctuated by a message of peace and a call to Stop the Violence. There will also be performances by Steelbands, Folklore including Mocko Jumbies, Masquerades and the Mansion Bull as well as presentations by the Nation’s top Poets.
