Lewis hammered a 36-ball 73, after being put in to bat, to help the Patriots post 203 for 7. In their reply, the Zouks got off to a solid start but eventually ran out of steam and managed just 145 for 5. The win meant the hosts jumped to the second position in the points table with their first win in three games.
Asked to bat, Lewis and Lendl Simmons (30) scored 69 runs for the first wicket in 6.2 overs before the latter was dismissed by Derone Davis. Faf du Plessis (9) failed to get going but Lewis ensured that they added 46 more in just 4.1 overs to take the score past 100.
Patriots then wobbled and lost both du Plessis and Lewis in a space of two runs. With the stage set, Devon Thomas (48 off 27) then launched an onslaught to take the team close to the 200-run mark. Shane Watson ended with figures of 3 for 36 as the Patriots managed just four runs in the final over.
In reply, the Zouks got off to a best possible start in the tall chase. Johnson Charles (40) and Watson (55) quickly scored 90 runs off nine overs to lay the platform. Samuel Badree, however, pulled things back beautifully by dismissing both openers in his two consecutive overs.
Zouks never recovered from the blows and with no other significant partnership flourishing, they eventually fell well short. In addition to Badree, Carlos Brathwaite, Thisara Perera and Tabraiz Shamsi too picked up one wicket each.
Brief scores: St Kitts and Nevis Patriots 203-7 in 20 overs (Evin Lewis 73; Shane Watson 3-36) beat St Lucia Zouks 145-5 in 20 overs (Watson 55; Samuel Badree 2-22) by 58 runs.
