WATCH Video: St. Kitts And Nevis Pm Visits Storm-Ravaged Dominica. Urges Other Countries To Assist In Recovery Efforts
Roseau, Dominica (Septmber 25th 2015):-Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, Dr. Timothy Harris, visited Dominica on Wednesday 23rd September , his first visit here since the island was pummeled by Tropical Storm Erika.
Dr. Harris received much love from the Dominican people as they welcomed him with a rousing round of applause for his government’s contribution of EC$1 million made to the Government and People of Dominica shortly after the storm.
Prime Minister Harris, along his Minister of Public Infrastructure, Posts, Urban Development and Transport, Ian “Patches” Liburd, visited Dominica to witness the symbolic handing over ceremony of 300 homes by President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, a donation from his government to help the displaced people of Dominica after the ravages of the tropical storm.
Dominica’s Prime Minister, Roosevelt Skerrit, lauded the Government and People of St. Kitts and Nevis for their generous contribution.
PM Harris also used the opportunity to appeal to other countries to assist with the receovery efforts on Dominica.
