CACHE OF STOLEN ITEMS FOUND
Basseterre, St. Kitts, April 29, 2016 (RSCNPF): A combined search operation by members of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force and the St. Kitts and Nevis Defence Force in which two search warrants were executed on Thursday (April 28) have resulted in the discovery of two cache of stolen items and the arrest of two persons.
The warrants were executed on a property in Bath Village and one in the Hamilton area.
The find included furniture, electronics, air conditioning units, groceries, construction supplies and tools and other items.
“What we found yesterday (Thursday) at these locations will help us to move several Burglary and House Breaking incidents and other cases forward. The discovery of the items have now connected the dots for us to move forward,” said Inspector Alonzo Carty of the Nevis Division.
Identification of items by persons who reported incidents have already begun. Members of the general public whose properties were burglarized or broken into and who did not report the incident are encouraged to inquire to see if their missing items may have been found.
Deputy Commissioner Brandy, sent a message to the Nevis Division on Friday (April 29) in which he said, “I wish to congratulate you on your recent successes in the Nevis Division. This shows what your presence on the streets mean to your community, your presence builds confidence in the community, thus the community will share the information you need and your successes will be forthcoming.” He added, “I thank you for going above and beyond in your duties, it is this continued presence that will yield results. I commend you for your efforts.”
Charges against the person arrested have not yet been laid and the investigation continues.
