St.Kitts-Nevis UNITY Government Names Former Deputy Prime Minister as Ambassador to the United Nations
Former St.Kitts-Nevis Deputy Prime Minister in the Dr. Denzil Douglas led Labour Administration Terrence Sam Condor has been appointed Ambassador to the United Nations by the Dr. Timothy Harris led Team UNITY Administration.
Condor’s appointment was announced by Prime Minister Harris during one of his administrations regular Press Conferences held on Wednesday. Condor
“Mr Sam Condor is designated Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary and Representative to the United Nations,” stated Prime Minister Harris as he addressed the media.
The appointment is expected to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Mr. Delano Bart Q.C. Mr. Condor is also a former Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Security, Education and Sports among others.
Dr. Harris praised Condor and expressed confidence in his ability to fullfil the duties of the post.
“Condor has what it takes to commence this assignment and deliver results from day one,” said Prime Minister Harris
Dr Harris concluded “There are several important issues on the United Nations agenda. With Sam’s leadership, we expect excellent results.”
Sam Terrance Condor served as Deputy Prime Minister of St.Kitts-Nevis from 1995 to 2013. He was also one of the longest serving parliamentarians in the history of SKN politics.
