Dr. The Right Excellent and Right Honourable Sir Kennedy Simmonds, First

Prime Minister and only living National Hero (this morning) 18th December, 2019 presented His Excellency The Governor-General with a copy of his autobiography ‘The Making of a National Hero’. His Excellency The GovernorGeneral was the Attorney General during the period 1980 to 1995 when Sir Kennedy served as Premier and later Prime Minister.

Sir Kennedy read the inscription in the Book which commended Sir Tapley on his loyalty and service and his scholarship. In thanking Sir Kennedy for the presentation and inscription, The Governor-General commended Sir Kennedy for this seminal work which was a fitting culmination to his many years of public service and stated he considered it a high honour and privilege and that he looked forward to reading it and learning much more of the life and times of this great icon, a true Pillar of our Nation.
